Recognized as one of the leading breast cancer organizations in the world, National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Helping Women Now® by providing early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
In 1991, Janelle Hail founded National Breast Cancer Foundation with the help of her husband and family. A breast cancer survivor herself, Janelle has made it her mission to educate other women about breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
NBCF was founded to fill in the gaps of cancer care, ensuring every woman has the access and information she needs to get through every step of her breast cancer journey.

However, many simply cannot afford the cost of screening tests.
These women are at a significantly higher risk of dying from breast cancer if later diagnosed.
Through our partner facilities, we provide free mammograms and diagnostic services for women in need.
Together with our outreach partners, we’re empowering women to take control of their health by educating them about their body and providing important breast cancer resources.
Barriers in the complex cancer care system can prevent patients from getting the care they need
NBCF provides critical support for patients at every step – whether they’re newly diagnosed, facing a terminal diagnosis, or facing breast cancer alone. Our goal is to ensure every patient and survivor has access to emotional support, guidance and resources throughout their journey.
